The CBC Ltd. Muyongwe CWS washing station is located in the Northern Province, founded in 2007, and works closely with coffee growers from the areas of Coko, Rushashi, Muyongwe, Rulindo, and Muhondo, who deliver their coffee cherries to the station.
The Muyongwe CWS has won multiple awards, including the Cup of Excellence in 2008, 2009, 2013, 2014, 2015 (1st place), and 2018, the Presidential Gold Cup in 2007, and recognition from the Eastern African Fine Coffees Association (EAFCA) in 2009.
Quality control plays a central role at the Muyongwe washing station throughout every stage of processing export products. Strict quality checks are conducted from the harvesting and processing of the coffee beans to the point of export.
Over the past 16 years, they have maintained a close relationship with the farming community in Muyongwe, providing various incentives, including profit sharing, general healthcare, training programs, promotion of good agricultural practices, and offering credit to ease financial burdens, enabling farmers to pay for their children's education.
